I went to the Stourport Steam Rally Friday evening to put up a bit of a stand and there was a combine knocking off some winter barley on the way there at Durley not far from Stourport. When I went past last night it looked like they'd cut at least 50 acres

That harvesting in Dunley was on the Crane estate and the farmer is Pete Jones. Top bloke.

Wonder what it's like driving those huge machines.

When I drove Claas, it was an old Dominator with a "shower" cab (started on an MF 400 Big Cry ).


Must be dead simple with electronics and satellites doing it all for you now. Whistle

We have some pretty big machinery in Aussie,...700HP tractors & headers etc,...I'll try to get some pictures at the next harvest. At the moment, the seeds are in the ground, hoping for a bit of rain. Many of the farmers here are now having grain storage facilities installed on their farms so that they can store grain if necessary & then sell when the price is right.
