Have you disconnected your battery (or has it drained flat)?
You could try switching ignition to acc 1, waiting the amount of time it is asking (or maybe more). Hopefully it will then change to allow you to input your radio code... so do that... TD5 Defender 90 Discovery 3 HSE |

Thank both,
its working fine no code needed etc and no the battery is ok. It just doesn't come on on its own and when I press it on it says 1 hr.. odd I've not actually been in it over an hour since its done this (this weekend) so not sure if it goes off? Thanks |

Standard radio does have a '1 hour' on setting which means with ignition off radio will play for one hour before automatically switching off .
As to why yours will only work on this, it can only really be a ignition controlled live fault, time to get out the multimeter .. Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant. |

When this happens, do you have use of the AC blower and have power in the lighter socket? If not, it's most likely related to the ignition switch. Once you replace that, all should be well again.
