Although LR recommends disconnecting the negative/black ground cable for just about any work on the vehicle - for this job I also disconnected the red/positive (first the negative as per protocol in the manual, then the positive and reattached in reverse order after job done)

There are some good YT videos on removing the headlamps.

The AC compressor as shown in the mentioned threads offers a nice solid and easy accessible ground fix. If the ground cable on the loom is too short - you may need to add another piece of cable to obtain required length.

Some pics "before" & "after" ??

Good luck !!

Question on the Wipac Crystals, if you get the one with no pilot / marker light, will there still be a hole in the reflector? If so, will this hole affect the performance of the light or be a point on ingress for water and / or dust?

I already did the Land Reizinger loom upgrade the stock lights improved a lot! Then with Osram Nightbreakers, the lights got even better! Since I'm still running quad optics, I'm wondering if the Crystals will add more improvement or not as some people are saying that it'll just be the same...

I can't comment on lights with the additional loom, but I went from standards with Osram NB bulbs to clear lens lights and instantly noticed an improvement in light output.
For the price of the lights its a worthy upgrade, I should have done it years ago! 1999 Defender TD5 110
