The issue we have with the pickups is they are soooo long and we just don't have the room for one. The thing that tipped us was just how much more accessible the kj is compared to the 90 for dad as he is on his 3rd hip replacement and being uncomfortable when driving is not a good idea. Eww, Navara.
Crap engine, crap clutch, crap gearbox, and lots have the chassis snap in half. They look quite butch if you're in to that sort of thing. As you say, pickups are long, they're usually bigger than a 130. There are really very few short wheelbase 4x4s out there, Shogun, Defender, older Land Cruisers and the baby ones like the Jimny. Obviously that's what the market wants, but I wouldn't want any worse a departure angle than my 110 has which is what I'd get with most pickups. So what's happening to the best small lorry you could wish for? |
