It was only when I reviewed the footage from my journey this morning that I noticed the music I had playing on the stereo was pretty apt

Lots of rain and plenty of wind here, chilly too. Steve.

Nicely done!

We haven't done too bad for rain, if anything could do with some.
Hopefully it will come down here. ![]() |

Dont think the landy will move that in one piece
![]() I had an eventful paddle to work today. 2 cars aquaplaned within 3 miles of each other, countless numptys who thaught that 70mph is a good speed to hit flood water on the motorway and various lumps of tree and house in the road. None that big though ![]() Self confessed mileage hunter ![]() |

Out of interest, what did you do? I'm not sure how I'd react to a tree blocking the road.

In that instance I'd probably call the police non-emergency in the absence of knowing who else to call, then drive round it! Looks like someone else already has, can see some tracks in the grass.

Funnily enough it's not the first time I've come across something blocking the highway like that while in a 4x4, in fact it's happened several times in the past. While years ago if I had the gear on-board I have been known to drag or help drag stuff out the way this one was a tad too chunky and I'm not as keen, or young, as I used to be.
I'd been down that lane from the other direction about an hour beforehand so knew it hadn't been down long as this still shows ![]() I got out to check that it had not come down on anything and the wheel marks at the edge of the field on the right in the video, I rang the police non emergency number to inform them of the blockage and its location who said they would pass the info to the council highways department.
