I say the usual suspect because the symptoms are that of the hand brake.......the moaning groaning binding sound you get when braking and the hand brake is poorly adjusted. Only thing is i'm sure the HB isn't rubbing on the drum.
Tonight I had it bad with the brakes...a very uneven juddery kind of feeling? I often apply the brakes and get the feeling the sometimes very little 'dead zone' before they bite and other times far more although I'm happy it not a simple case of they need bleeding? Also tonight I pulled away a tiny bit sharpish in second from stationary turning right and not only did I get the sensation o binding / braking but I could also hear it? I'm assuming be the introducing a reasonable amount of torque this couldn't put the HB out of alignment and cause it to bind - or could it? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you....oh and front suspension / steering feels vague on/off as if the whole lot is not tied into the chassis correctly but again i'm sure that must just be me? |
