You really don't want the Land Rover one if you actually want to use the rack, they're not practical at all. |

Are they not? Not good then. Anyone have the Front Runner Slimline 2?

I can only speak for the 110 version which I have, but I wouldn't buy one. They're not built well, they rust badly and aren't very practical. They lack tiedown points, the bars are spread too far apart to walk on easily and because of the step at the front, whilst there is enough space for an 8*4' sheet you have to bend it. The bars are so spread out you usually have to put an additional load spreader on the rack because otherwise stuff ends up not properly supported or sat on the roof itself. If you want to carry large sheets then roof bars would work better, if you want to carry small stuff then there are better racks. It's a struggle to think of many positives other than the fact they look OK. |

http://www.lignonautomobiles.com/nos-defenders/ Not in the SW, they are over near Valence, but well worth keeping an eye on their website as they have some very nice Defenders and they dont seem to hang around for long. Very nice people, third generation family run, speak English, and have a very good reputation. Last edited by Riverboy on 23rd May 2016 11:52pm. Edited 1 time in total |

I would also think twice given your car already has the superior factory fitted windows. Might be different if it was a plain hard top. |

I know, his looked fantastic. I almost cried at the end of his thread when he sells it LOL
I think it will look great on my Corris grey. I've not seen one here in France so it'll be a bit unique |

Guys, would this trailer be OK to carry all five wheels back to France? Size wise and weight wise?
http://www.halfords.com/motoring/travel-ac...ar-trailer http://www.erdetrailer.co.uk/erde-234x4-trailer/ I'd buy it in France as its 300 euro cheaper here makes a change to find something cheaper in France apart from wine! I don't think I need the braked version, not if I'm pulling it with a Defender surely? I really could use a big trailer anyway. Current one is too small and can't get many bales of hay in it. |
