I'd look for bfg all terrain as they are meant to be decent tyres and I'm guessing will be around 140 a tyre for yours 2014 - current ..... 2003 defender td5 90 (my car)

The Simex are 35x10.50x16

265/75/16 All terrains would be OK I'd have thought. That's what I have now and will be sticking with.
You could go down to a 235 Continental if you wanted something truly road biased! |

They would be far too small. They would stand at 31.5 inches tall.

I've been trying to find a narrow 33" all terrain and struggling. I've seen BFG KO2s in 285/75/16 which is 33", and they claim to do a 35*12.5*15 too.
I don't know why it's so hard to find narrow ones. |

You can get 255 85 16 which is 33" and narrow in bfg mt, although they are muds they stil, have very good road manors 2004 TD5 Defender 90 xs station wagon

Michelin do the mud tyre ( XZL?) in 8.25x16 that is32.5" tall and fairly narrow. Military use them on the pinzgauer. 80" 1948

 to find though and pricey when you do, and XZLs are seriously noisy! |

I run 35 12.5 r15 km2s all the time. On 8" rims they fill the arches nicely

How does it handle on the tyres you have fitted? With them being so wide does it try and follow the camber of the road badly? What tyre pressure do you run? I have 13.5" wide Maxis tyres currently. Thanks.  |

I find them fine on the road, don't wander or pull particularly. I used to have them on 10 wide rims and found that they did pull a lot under breaking. Tried all sorts of stuff and in the end got advised to try 8" rims so the tyre had more of a curve to the tread as on 10" wide rims the tread was pulled very flat and it drove spot on on the 8's. I tend to run around 32psi on the road. What maxxis are you running ?

They are Maxis Mudzilla. They are on wide wheels that have alot of offset, I increased the tyre pressure to 30 and it is just as bad. I have quite an amount of wandering and also on braking it gets a bit interesting! I changed my trailing arms bushs because it felt like rear steer! They are quite an agressive tyre and seem to do the job off-road. I will have to try some other wheel/tyre combo as I can't live with the way it drives. My series 2 drives alot better! Even at low speed it feels fairly awful.  |
