disconnect the two wires on the transfer box from the side. The two on the back are for the diff light.
I've disconnected mine and it defaults to the full power mode as it only works when in low range 2014 - current ..... 2003 defender td5 90 (my car) 2009 - current .... 2005 zx10r |

If you are going down that route of having the throttle response altered by removing the wires, you might as well adjust the throttle respond section if you have a nanocom. It can be considered as part of a remap.
I've used this method to over come a bad spot on the pedal tracks, but I know I need to fix that some day. From the land of the most expensive land rover defenders on planet earth. At 125k for a XS 110 csw and you get to own it only for 10yrs! Please find me a good reason to stay on this island. |

There are two throttle modes which are controlled by a switch in the gearbox that detects low range or high range, this doesn't sound like your problem.
Because it's happening after hard acceleration it sounds more like the ECU is going into safe mode which means something isn't right. most of the time it will be the turbo wastegate seizing up and allowing too much pressure (which is detected by the MAP sensor??) so the ECU limits power until you turn the ignition off and back on again. Fixed mine with WD40 and a hammer If you feel like low down power is missing, you might also have a stuck EGR valve, which you should get blanked off anyway |
