2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Java Black
Brake Fluid Specification
My owners book specifies Shell ESL Donax EBL fluid for the brakes and Shell ESL Donax EB for the clutch. I think these have been superseded - anyone know what they are now please?

I am I correct in thinking the brake fluid service interval is 2 years?

Many thanks

Mark

edit: Should add, I'm running a 2007 Puma 110 SW

Russia 2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Stornoway Grey
MY07 WSM:
"If the above fluid is not available, use a low viscosity DOT 4 brake fluid meeting ISO 4925 Class 6 and Land Rover LRES22BF03 requirements."

MY07 Maintenance Check Sheet states 24 months / 24k miles as brake fluid change interval.

I use "ROSDOT6" (DOT4, ISO4925 CLASS 6, has no LR approval) brake fluid. It costs only 300RUB (approx 3.55GBP) per liter, so I change it every year.

I've been trawling the otherwise extensive service record on my 07 110. Receipts for everything except for a brake fluid change! The fluid looks dark too, which it would if over 9 years old! Assuming the nipples aren't seized solid (they don't look good) think it might be wise to put new in this afternoon.

I guess the clutch fluid needs doing every two years also?

Any tips for how to bleed through the clutch?

Cheers

Mark
