a propshaft would be #1 on my list for sure
also: multimeter, obd reader, portable air, wire, nuts/bolts/cable ties, tubing, tyre repair kit & SAT phone (rental) get a map/list of LR dealers or 4x4 specialists also, make sure you have taken the time to prepare the vehicle, talk to locals to determine any special requirements. |

I just noticed a couple of drops of oil on the floor, then had a look underneath and noticed a small leak around the N/S of the engine near the oil filter housing ... I took it to the dealers and they did the rest, no leaks since .. i thought better to catch it before it completely rust proofed my engine bay

Have a word with site sponsor Brendan http://www.4x4overlander.com/ Im sure he will help you with the most common things that go as a man in the know.
Id think as said fuel related items along with prop shaft joints, fan belts, coolant, black tape, gasket glue, filters and oil and possibily some wheel barings at least, as well as the tools to change any of them. That said I went to France in a old 200TDI and took a gear box that I never did use as mine was a little noisy so I may be a little OTT lol. Pete |
