Today I just noticed my mates 110 puma tdci clutch was softer than mine and when hooked up the bonnet, this is what I found. Any idea?

Someone has replaced your master with a non puma spec cylinder, but managed to create a T junction such that the sensor still works (it's usually connected via a banjo directly to the master...)

Not sure why it's rougher, other than:

> The master is a poop one and/or not specced properly in terms of amount of fluid transfer
> You've got air/crud in your line
> Slave is similarly shod

Either way, the fluid is making some extra turns, which only serves to increase surface friction - but it's probably not in the order of magnitude that you're experiencing.

There is a specific kit that aids the clutch, called redbooster. Made for the defender and works very well apparently, if the wifes hips get much worse ill have to have one fitted as she struggles to drive the truck at the minute.
