Martin, yes us 'old schoolers' would agree totally with your suggestion...
... the problem is even IF a positive outcome for Nigel was forthcoming, it would merely be a sticking plaster over a gaping wound... A big shame because my JLR supplying dealer in Port Macquarie NSW delivered exceptional customer service and continues to do so. (I did have to drive 600km's from where I live to get this however! ) Good luck! YOLO... You Only Live Once... |

Hello Pickles, I really did not want to have to do that, because it will forever damage an already damaged customer dealer relationship, but I might just do it anyway. I almost feel sorry for the employees, as I dealt with 2 salesmen, & 2 account managers as the turnover seems quite high. Shouldn't be a problem to find who the C.E.O. of JLR Australia is, I could just ask the Senior Case Manager who supplied my EKA. But like Pete, I am prepared to drive a few 100 kms for good service & have heard good things about the Albany dealership, which is only 463 kms South, so that might just be the go. When we do our trip around Australia I will have to find some good dealers over East! Anyway thanks to you & Pete for your support & council. Cheers Nigel |

Aside being all about 'Australian' issues (should this not be on AULRO!), I also noticed that this thread has nothing other than 'GREEN' avatars!

It started off just being about Celebration Certificates. Seems to have digressed somewhat. The certificates were issued by or at least signed by the C.E.O. of Jaguar Land Rover. So not much Australian involvement. The envelope is a nice shade of Keswick green by the way!

So nobody suspicious it's a phishing expedition to get your correct details and confirm where you keep the vehicle ?

A sad observation to make my friend... that your thought is generated by all the low life scams and thefts that have become endemic in the U.K...
Thankfully, Australia has (so far) escaped the worse of this... Out here, you could probably leave your Defender outside with the keys in the ignition outside your home and it would still be there in the morning. and certainly no locks on spare wheel carriers needed either... Thanks mickygee, I called Third Dimension in NSW's this morning & a very nice lady knew exactly what I was going to request & assured me that the correct certificates are being reprinted & will be dispatched soonest. Glad I kept the tough bag or I wouldn't have known where it came from! |

We accidently left the keys in the ignition for a fortnight, it never even got the doors opened let alone stolen. Most of our would be thief's would not want to be seen in a Land Rover either. Cheers, Kyle. |
