Sound good Ian, I assume there will be another build thread?

I really would like an 101 FC and kick myself after thinking the mid 90s Craddock sale prices!! Working towards Carry on camping!

indeed, he's retired and spends 1/2 his time renovating his house and 1/2 on the landy, it will upset purists but it is certainly well thought out, like the grease nipples on the clutch and brake pivot shafts, lots of other little details like that all over it. like the rear corner capping's

re the wiring he made the loom up himself and used mostly period components but modern wire, he pretty much fused each circuit individually, all those extra gauges , lamps etc have made it nothing like the original.

He has a book full of drawings and notes but i expect it will be a mystery to anyone except himself. although yes all very neat and correctly done. DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

Ee mini marcos yes he has 2 a mk3 and mk4 both 1340s and both running, there are 2 more in the family but both none runners.

I used to have one myself but its now sitting in a go cart track, looks a bit different to when I owned it but even then it had a 1380 straight cut gears and all the usual stuff you do to quick mini's the best bit however was the 2,9 diff and the shape allowing silly top speeds in such a small car.

like a lot of older things prices are rising so doubt I will ever get it back
