That is about 77p sterling, we are paying about £111.9 a litre for Super or Premium diesel. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

Yeah but its all relative though. Average wage is a lot lower in Spain. But being on an island prices are considerably higher compared to the mainland. Especially vehicles. I bought my 110 on the mainland and I reckon I could have sold it for 1500-2000€ more the next day on Mallorca. 2009 Puma 110 SW

I always thought posh fuel was a lot of , but looking back through my fuel records, it consistently recorded an improvement of 3mpg on each tank...

Using a fuel additive has the same affect, if not better.

Discussed to death. You have as many yea sayers as nay sayers. Never will reach consensus on such hot topic. http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic11415....ate+diesel http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic18718....ate+diesel http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic24551....ate+diesel http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic32969....ate+diesel http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic34105....ate+diesel http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic9387.h...ate+diesel As to myself,... here is a quote out of one of above threads going back to May 2012
From a doubter, I became a firm yea sayer. Won't even bother comparing mpg and so, but since April 2012 I switched 100% to BP Ultimate with no intention to ever go back. My EGR seems to appreciate it, my injectors recently had for the first time a cleaning additive given by my dealer of which the result was just no difference, so I think this particular premium fuel has all the additives permanently added to keep typical diesel knock down, and keep fuel tank, fuel lines, injectors in optimal condition. Bit off topic, but an additional advantage of all Swiss diesel is that it is B0, so zero bio diesel content. If you want to hear from another source how my engine is running/sounding, one of the posters here above could give you a very up to date answer, like less than 24 hours ago. So nothing else for me than the one at the left side in below picture. Eric Click image to enlarge You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

I've just returned home from Cornwall after a week away
Esso Derv (who don't do posh) £1.069 ltr Didn't know they don't do posh until I'd pulled in and driven around the forecourt several times Three quarters of a tank came to £64 (Range Rover Sport) V-Power Derv (M4 services) £1.249 ltr Half a tank came to £57 (Range Rover Sport) I can feel the difference between the two. IMHO the car feels sluggish with the regular fuel! Friend of mine owned a Petrol station he said never use the super market stuff its not refined as well as the petrol station fuel. 2010 Defender 90 HT The longer I live..... The better I was! |

I'm in the south of Mallorca near Palma. I'll see how things go and maybe I'll rotate between standard and premium fuel. 2009 Puma 110 SW |

I'm not sure about the whole Supermarket fuel theory. It all comes from the same refineries but just gets loaded into different tanker trucks. I maybe wrong though. 2009 Puma 110 SW |

Esso do a "Supreme+", but at my nearest they don't have it at all of the pumps. It's what I usually fill up with. Around me it is difficult to find any station that isn't a supermarket. |
