Will I make it out of today alive?
What will SWMBO do when she finds I am using the dishwasher to "remove all loose dirt and debris" from the tow hitch prior to applying a cheeky winter coat of Hammerite?

quickly make a casaroll, over cook it to burn the edges then stick it in the washer to camofalge the oil stains and say that you were going to suprise her and it all went wrong (with a tear in your eye..) ... so then you get praied for thinking of her and cover up the mess in the washer .... Thumbs Up

failing that .. it's been nice knowing you !

Once your tow hitch is clean, hide it in the garage, then when she comes home tell her that you had planned to load the dishwasher with plates but discovered the sorry state of the inside. Go balistic at her for not maintaining the machine in a proper manner and tell her how disappointed you are. "Dishwashers don't grow on trees" (that kind of thing).

Then you will have a clean towhitch and with a bit of luck a compensatory dinner to apologise to you.

No need to thank me, but perhaps use a cricket box in your undies in case my plan isn't as fool proof as i hope.

Thumbs Up

there's a simple solution.

just tell her you were 'extreme' testing the degreasing promises on the dishwasher tablet packet.

if that fails grovel - big time BM52

Chaps,

I would like to report that:

a, tow hitch is immaculately clean
b, Miele's finest survived the ordeal unscathed
c, SWMBO isn't home yet

And to top it off, the dishwaher is now emptied from the mornings post breakfast duties so it appears that I have been very helpfull Whistle

Now, off to stink the utility room out with Hammerite Very Happy

Mega Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter ,

However i have just read this out to my missus with tears in my eyes and a decent ab's workout, then it dawned on me...... What a top idea mine could do with the same... However SWMBO now knows the score if the dishwasher happens to be empty tomorrow. Whistle Sweep
