There is a slight bit of corrosion on one of the mating faces of the Waterpump.
I think it's the pump to vac pump above, so not the leak area.
How could I remove that, very light very fine wet and dry say 2000 grit kept flat?

Last update on here, fitted the original pump.
New fixings and genuine gasket and done all the bleeding and so on....
New pump will go back for refund.

Most important thing....
No leaks no drips! Problem cured it was the gasket!

So a nearly £600 bill for a pump I didn't need all for a £10 gasket which was all that was wrong. Rolling Eyes
And it wasn't cracked....

Very pleased as you can imagine.

That's why it's better to do your own maintenance if you can.
You can see for yourself the problem then. And nobody tries to con you Thumbs Up

Very true, I don't regret the test though as extra confirmation of where exactly it was leaking from.

But I knew fairly well myself anyway...

You'd expect better from a large main dealer.

Well just an update on this mainly for others benefit.
I went for a Borg and Beck Waterpump in the end, and has been perfect, massive price difference between it and Genuine and its identical.

Regardless of this I had an opportunity today to take a photo of the bolts for others reference.
