How many of us are working for bug*er all today being leap year day
I am salaried so today I do a full day’s work for sod all 
If you are paid by the hour then you are quid’s in 
Happy Leap Day

Petition Public Holiday in place of Feb 29th as the average salaried person loses £113.
https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/112392 The average salary is £26500 = £113 per day over 233 working days. In a leap year this rises to 234 working days. Therefore, the average salaried employee is losing out on £113 during a leap year as the additional days work is unpaid. The additional day should be substituted with a public holiday. The average annual salary in the UK is £26,500. The statutory holiday allowance is 28 days for an average employee working a five day week, meaning that (excluding weekends of 104 days) there are 233 working days, resulting in the average salaried person earning £113 a day. Those on an annual salary work an additional day during a leap year as there are 234 working days. Effectively, a salaried employee works this extra day for no additional payment. As above, you get paid for 260.25 working days a year, so in reality you are working back whhat you've been apid in advance.
But back to th OP - Nope - daily rate so all good here! hhahahahahahahahahhahahahahaaa TY&GN

Aren't holidays, pensions etc. accrued on the basis of complete months worked? Perhaps in the three years out of four when we get a month's benefit for only working twenty-eight days, these should be cut down accordingly?
Worked out daily, as an OAP I get a State Pension of £324.68/month, i.e. I'm expected to live on less than eleven quid a day. Good job I was able to put enough in a private pension fund to now draw off another £220 each day, eh? But to get that kind of capital I was putting aside up to £500/week. Do today's workers look that far ahead? Peter |

we pay large amount money in to the EU and the farmer reserve small amount back if the system doesn't screw it up the rest prop up rest of the madding crowd in the EU

before, all "averages" are gross.
Would mean the average NET would be around £1700.00 a month ish, or £78 ish a day. TY&GN 10 years in a WOLF, WIMIK and Snatch and this is all I have to show! |
