ok so i took the bull by the horns!, if the manufacturer doesn't know how it should be fitted and what configuration the rubber washers should be in then there is not much hope, came to a decision and fitted it.......... not overly impressed with the lack of instructions but pleased with the product, and looks great.

worryingly the manufacturer got back to me with some pictures of the snorkel and how to fit it.... and its totally different to the one i have fitted!! with a new bit of pipework for the air intake pipe, rather than the one i have fitted just pulls tight onto the wing? .... and mine has external bolts on the front which dont look as good as the hidden bolts on the safari and the ones he sent me pictures of but it still looks good .. pics to follow.

Does that snorkel kit replace the OEM dirty air ducting from the inside of the wing to the air filter box?

No it does not, it basically clamps to the outside of the wing, with a seal (i have added more sealant to be sure its water tight from outside) your thoughts?

You'll need to look closely at the OEM ducting then - it's far from airtight with only plastic slip joints.
