All this talk of rear leccy windows has got me wanting to fit mine now, so door cards have come off and a couple hours later my 110 now has power windows all round, just got to sort the wiring out so it's tidy and so I can control them from the front and change the switches to oem switches and it'll be sorted! Can't seem to get pictures from my phone to upload just yet but here's the picture of the hofele kit that I used as guidance:
![]() Click image to enlarge Quite a tight fit and a second pair of hands would have helped but this picture really helped for locating the motor. The kit I bought is essentially the same as the hofele kit, but only £40 rather than £300+ |

Hi
Are those Defender motors or Disco in the end and how did you mount them etc? I wouldn't mind fitting electric rear windows to mine, I have a pair of front (Defender) motors and switches/plugs etc that I was going to sell but if they can be used for the rear doors then I'll do that instead ![]() Thanks Ben

^ Plus 1 for more info
Its probably one of the very few things I miss from normal cars when the kids leave them down a little and I jump in and drive off... hearing the wind behind me...aarrgghh |

I saw an advert in LRM and enquired further by email- ordered two days later !
The company is http://vcdparts.co.uk/. Contact is Andy. They will supply specialist companies etc, but are willing to sell to DIY enthusiasts too. They are £225 +vat. Sent out very quickly from order. Fitting instructions are in the process. They do fitting videos. The one above is a brief insight compared to other marques. There's a loom and switchbox which goes on back of cubbybox - similair to Hofele kit. I was hoping to fit it before mentioning on here, but couldn't resist letting others know. ^ Great stuff
Can the people in the rear operate and from the front? What does the loom look like? Please update when you fit as very interested in this kit. Thanks |
