There is apparently a Land Rover racing pipe, an official Land Rover part, which is not only legal but which is as good as or better than an off the market decat - I cannot find the part number though I seem to recall Pete from BAS identifying it about a year ago.
A few Australian 2.2 owners have ordered the part and installed it with some success. ****CENSORED**** |

Hi Tim
I know Ian Baughan of IRB was working on cat & DPF removal pipes a while back, worth dropping him a line to see if it's available yet (use Defender2 Forum in the subject line) http://www.irbdevelopments.com Cheers John 2014 110 2.2TDCi XS Station wagon 1971 Bowler Tomcat 88 4.2 V8 Auto 2022 110 D250 XS Edition - Gone 2024 110 D250 X-Dynamic HSE |

So would that be legal as in they still contain the cat and dpf? If you can find the original details/post or any more info, it would be interesting. |

Hi guys, thanks for the info and replys, I'll give IRB a call. I should have specified the vehicle is ROW spec and only has the cat, (no DPF).
Cheers, |

From memory Pete's post showed a photo of the part together with a part number, I am sorry I can't find it but it might be worth prodding Pete for an answer. ****CENSORED**** |

Wow! that does go back a while! The post I was referring to from Pete was in a thread to do with decat and dpf removal - about a year ago - a few members were becoming upset and as I recall Pete posted an image and part number of the Land Rover item pointing out that it was perfectly legal to use manufacturer approved parts.
I am sorry I can't add much more to that other than I know a few Aussies have installed either that specific part or similar with some success. ****CENSORED**** |

Rockjaw - thanks for the additional info - I'll have a trawl through the old posts
Morepower - excellent sleuthing but I think that thread only refers to the 2.4 engine for which I think there were at least 8 variants of the cat pipe which seem to be a common fit across the 90, 110 & 130: Catalyst, EU2 - WCD502340 or WCD501910 Catalyst, Euro Stage 4 Emissions WCD502500 or LR020683 or LR030002 or LR041316 Catalyst, Stage V Plus DPF LR030001 or LR041312 From this thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic36603.html?highlight=dpf
or from here - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic15262....p;start=45:
Actually, this looks like the thread Rockjaw was referring to http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic26337.html?highlight=dpf

What pipe are you referring to? No decat or sports cat shown on their website for the 2.2.
