Insurance

I'm sure this has been done to death so apologies...

Having scoured the forums the 2 names that come up time and again are Heritage and Peter Best... I've just been on to Peter Best and they won't insure a modified 2004 Td5... I really need at least 2 quotes to compare/contrast/negotiate... is there another recommend that will quote for a modified (wheels/rear seats/upgraded stereo/central locking/winch/...) 2004 Td5?

Peter Best said it needed to be pre-2000 to qualify for their classic car insurance...

Try Glynwood at Burntwood near Cannock 01543 675163, ask for Wayne Mann. I have my very modified Jeep Wrangler with them and I pay less than I do for the standard Defender

Wow... I just spent an hour with NFU... and they still haven't come to a quote yet...

What are standard wheel/tyre sizes for 2004 defender?

There are general grabbers on this defender, 205/80 R16 - is this a mod? The alloys clearly are.

And the first result is in... fully comp with 7 yrs NCB coming in at £475 or £392 if I take £250 excess... sure I can do better than this...

OK, I've gone with Heritage, best price and also they throw in a free Sky Tag, I just have to pay the yearly subs for the tracking service.
