England 2008 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Java Black
Conversion
Hi all

I am looking at the possibility of converting our 110 with a pop-top or Hubdach as they say in Germany. I make the German reference as I am looking at these two German companies:

http://www.landy-camper.de/pages/hubdach.php
http://www.ex-tec.de/

The reason for this is that we aint getting any younger and we are looking to the convenience and security a pop up roof will provide for our 'big trip'.

The questions to my esteemed colleagues are:

1. Anyone had this kind of conversion done (or know of anyone I could speak to?)?
2. Anyone had experience of either of these German companies?

Any recommendations greatly received

regards
Steve

Hi Steve,

I have a pneumatic Ex-Tec roof on my 130 Stationwagon. The building quality is very good and it's very comfortable to have your "bedroom" ready with the flip of a switch. I used it on four holidays now including two Sahara trips and I still didn't experience even the smallest problem or failure. They are not cheap but the quality is really worth it.
