Sounds to me like someone has replaced the TDCi with an 8-cylinder Gardner!

But no cracked hoses or external leaks. Anyone had a blown head gasket between bores on a 2.4, just crossed my mind Black wolf, it does sound a bit like a Gardner, but not as solid If a engine conversion ISUZU. 4bdt1t for me. |

There was a post on here reference a potential egr cooler leak allowing the coolant to pressurize?

Ickle thanks, but a leaking EGR cooler wouldn't be responsible for this unhealthy noise

had a bit of a look see this evening,
injectors leak off test, runs with the comp hooked up injectors out endoskop showed lovley looking pistons. bores. spray pattern and valves, expected a lot worse with this milage Valve cover off this could be the answer or at least one of them this little clip shows exhaust valve Nr. 3 cam lob and follower. hard facing worn off, follower out of round nice evening to all of you, thanks for all your inputs Richard |
