[For Sale] 2010 Santorini Black 110 Utility XS
So some of you may have seen that i was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to buy one of the last defenders, but unfortunately that means that my trusty black 110 has to go Big Cry .

For 3 years I've been treating it as my 'keeper' so I've put a lot of money, time and love into it.

This is the first place I've advertised it so please give me any feedback on price.

dw@eslfuels.net or 07595388935 for more info, i'll happily chat to you for ages and have loads of pictures etc. Available to view in Sandiway, Cheshire, CW82EA. Close to A49.

Maintenance:

This for 3 years or so was to be my “keeper”, having grown very fond of it, but was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to buy one of the very last defenders last minute.

As such it has been meticulously maintained, with full oil and filter changes yearly (engine, diffs, gearbox, transfer box). Just had new pads and discs all round, as well as new wheel bearings whilst I was at it.
Also waxoyled every autumn in all the high risk areas, and rinsed of with jetwash after any arduous activity.

It's never even had so much as a single advisory come MOT time!

Recently a crack in the head was detected, and despite having the new defender just arrived at the dealership, it was sent to a head specialist to be professionally repaired rather than any temporary fixes etc.

Also had new clutch when under extended warranty (c. 45,000mi), replaced with latest parts to ensure no reoccurances of the known fault with the early 2.4 clutch. Also had new fuel pump and front diff during the extended warranty period, and more recently a new UJ.

Other than that it has been incredibly reliable, and I am extremely fond of it, always doing right by the car, not my wallet.

Only couple of 'bad' points being a couple of scratches I've noticed and the knob that controls the blower direction appears to have come off! Rolling with laughter Trying to sort a replacement knob soon!

NB. Back on its original FN10 WHT registration now.

Hi John, at uni at the moment so don't have the car in front of me. Have one pic of the side panels and storage nets fitted in the rear. Also the 6x9 speakers.

However it's pretty much standard XS, with the half leather seats etc.

Things I've changed are full dynamat (underneath the genuine carpets) and closed cell matting in the rear to be more durable.

I also had a double din system fitted, but have reverted to the standard single din alpine unit now, but left the side panel fitted with blanks. (You can see the side panel in the photo below:

Hi David,

Fantastic looking truck! Looks immaculate. I was wondering whether you added the dynamat yourself? If so did you have any issues with carpet on top of dynamat? Any advice would be great.

Cheers, Freddie.

Thanks,

No the dynamat was applied by Chris @ CSK Land Rover (site sponsor)

Carpet all seems to go on top fine, no trouble with that. Cheers, David
