With MUD do you need extra wires or relays to install? or only it's a question of some drilling to mount the plinth and plug & play lights with the actual connectors.
I have a Puma LR.

Be advised IF you decide to go down this route and it is your intention to fit some form of swingaway wheel carrier later you may need to think again before you start drilling holes?

Hi Rog, yes hence the 'may' in my post. I wanted to double up the reverse and fog with NAS style some time ago but realised with mine it was a non-starter.

Rolling with laughter

Nice to see you return Rockjaw, Where have you been hiding for the last 10 months or so? Happy New Year to you and yours....I've now done pretty much everything I needed to and more besides. Hence the reason I've now moved to the next 'project.' It is my intention of retaining the Landy but spending no more! Picture taken yesterday at Swanage. With no snow or ice forecast, no salt on the roads, unusually high temperatures and dry roads there's no excuse not to get out on this....tank-full of fuel burnt yesterday

Thumbs Up

Gulp though... Seems I've chosen and expensive 'look'

Sad

There are many suppliers Stacey007 and I would guess that here will be deals to be had as we approach the new year.

Like custom90steve I've been running all RDX LED's for some time without any issues (I also tow a trailer with incandescent lamps). I bought the adjustable indicator/flasher unit relay.

I recall I bought mine from BoltOnBits' EBay shop and got a bundle deal.

I also share your liking of the rear light set up in your OP Thumbs Up

I'd go for LED if you are going to make the desired changes for the reasons already stated.

Could someone clarify for me please if RDX is the manufacturer of these lights or just the style of them? To put it another way if I find RDX lights from another supplier will they be the same as that which MUDuk stock or just look the same?

Regards,
-Tom

RDX are Bolt On Bit's brand.
Mud sell the Wipac ones, which are the same Wipac ones you can get elsewhere.

Oh, and Mud are great to deal with BTW. Definitely recommend them.

Thanks for your prompt reply.

They (MUD ones) look rather different to the Wipac ones Paddock sell here. Are they both Wipac of differing quality? (The Mud price is staggering! Shocked) The Wipac look a lot like the BoltOnBits ones. I have the BoB ones and they're dying after only a couple of years!

Ah, sorry, hadn't picked up on the NAS spec part. Don't know in that case, the only research I've done is looking at the normal sized ones. If you look at them, they're clearly the same part and they're basically the same price too.

The MUD ones are pukka OEM. Paddocks ones don't have quite as many leds but are still perfectly usable.

I am fairly certain that the NAS LED rear lights offered by Mud are the 95mm NAS specification by Le Perei who are the OEM supplier to LR.

Please do not confuse these with other makes, we have the same lamps on our shelves in our old warehouse but not on our website. Some have connectors on some don't

Hopefully when we are fully into our new unit we can sort them out and get them on the webshop.
