I had quite a few jobs I could have done today on both trucks but the weather is so miserable outside - gusting all over the place and raining- I just haven't got the drive to do it.
So instead I have been sat next to the fire condensing my paperwork down next to the fire with some music on. I managed to condense 2 folders worth of receipts and literature down to 1 folder so the day is not a complete waste. Anyone else having one of those days? Ordinarily it doesn't bother me, I changed my radiator in a storm once (soaked my haynes manual right through) but today I just looked out the window and went......Nah.
Congratulations on getting jobs done though ![]() Self confessed mileage hunter ![]() |

I was going to wash both defenders on Sunday but the stupid wind on Saturday night decided to snap the bottom of my gate where the gate stop is and snap the bungee cord in half (that I put on when it's windy) while pulling the fence post out of its wall mountings and then smashing the gate closed and breaking every joint

Well just over two weeks later and it's still the same.
![]() So sick of being stuck inside doing pointless indoor jobs to pass the time when everything needs doing outside. ![]() |

I have been paddling my way along the M2 this week.
Don't know what it is about that section of motorway but never known puddles like it! Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197 Self confessed mileage hunter ![]() |

It has been a bad couple of weeks for incessant rain; nothing, I hasten to add, in comparison to those suffering from flooding. Nevertheless, I've found that it has meant I've started the year in a foul mood.
Normally I look forward to the Christmas break as a time I can take the dog for long walks, where my daughter joins me and we have some great chats and 'quality time'. However, each time I woke up to torrential rain and soggy ground, I opted for a shorter, hard surface, walk, which was neither enjoyable (for the dog or I) and ended up with both pooch and I returning feeling water logged and sorry for ourselves. So Shaggy, I feel your 'miserable weather' pain. Worse still, I'm now back at my desk at work and the sun is shining ![]() Last edited by Mr Fox on 5th Jan 2016 2:38pm. Edited 1 time in total |

It's alright for you lads that have stuff to do inside and even an inside to do stuff in but some of us don't have a choice than to be outside in it. Waterproof clothing it fine but the land is now so wet it is almost impossible to walk on it without making a gods awful mess. We need it to be dry and even to freeze cos all this rain is hardly any better than snow now for making life ruddy difficult. Only saving grace being we are not actually under water unlike some. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.
