Hi All,
As stated above, the 4x4 trips will be £50, per day, per vehicle. In terms of accommodation ill explore a few options but the consensus seemed to be camping/tin-tenting? Ill put together a few options for venues but will leave this to your good selves to book and pay for closer to the date. So the list so far who have responded with a 'yes' since the confirmation of the dates is as follows; 1. @JIMMOORE 2. @ROBBONTHEROCK 3. @JR 4. @ENID PUCEFLANGE 5. @ROSCO 6. @Merlin 7. @Bosshog 8. @MdM 9 @LovetheMud 10@Chinney (awaiting confirmation) Ill add in as reserve spots in case anyones situation changes; 11. @BCP 12. @ Ian is away for the next two weeks, but on his return I will organise booking/settling deposits with him. As I mentioned above, if there is enough interest there will be no problem for me to organise a second (or third.....) trip later in the year- so even if you don't manage to make this one there may be another opportunity! Exciting times! Chris Last edited by Chris86 on 2nd Mar 2016 1:22pm. Edited 10 times in total |

I'll only be able to make it along for a single day. What day do it want to come?

are children allowed? how many days and starting from which rough area? can we wild camp? or is the company based at a location we can stay at? are the routes suitable for std shiny vehicles ....not for me but some folk need to cling wrap their pride and joy before the fun begins std road tires all terrains or muds and winches needed? |

Hello,
Right to answer the questions above; Children are welcome so long as they have an appropriate car seat, and that they are ok with a rough/bumpy ride! One day will be on the Ardverikie Estate, Kinloch Laggan, the second day will be based on the Alvie estate, which is near Aviemore. We are not able to wild camp on the estates, however there are various locations that it is possible to wildcamp in Scotland. I am looking at camping at a 'normal' campsite- I will be making some enquiries as to which ones may be suitable for a largish group. In terms of routes, Ian is able to tailor routes to the groups/vehicles. Ian runs his trips in standard height discovery 2s with a set of all terrains, so that probably gives you an idea of most of the routes! Having said this, there may be the opportunity to tackle some more challenging terrain in some of the woodlands, and the area Ian uses for 4x4 tuition and professional training for those who fancy trying something a bit more adventurous! If anyone has any other questions, please feel free to PM me Chris |
