Wiper spindle question
hi, this morning i forgot to make sure the blades were free and not stuck. the o/s was and when i switched them on the n/s worked as usual. i quickly switched off and freed up the stauck one but it is now looser.

i tried to tighten up the nut but i think i have knackered the splines, so the question is do you know whether i would have ruined the splines on the shaft or on the wiper arm.

hopefully just the wiper arm!

thanks BM52

Just the arm - they are softer than the spindles - although you can just buy the spindle top as well.

new arm seems to be the same as the late TD5 with a nylon ring inside which is compressed on the shaft splines. £11 and 10 mins later all fixed.
