Transmission clatter
When driving off-road in 2nd low, downhill, low idle with engine braking, there is a very loud clattering from the transmission. Anyone got any ideas what's wrong.
Thanks.

Clutch I expect. When you turn the engine off can you hear a couple of metallic "clunks" from the underside of the car just as the engine stops rotating. 130's have feeling's as well you know Smile

Is this noise the clutch? Mine has started doing this recently. I've also noticed a similar noise at idle!

Thanks all. Not very encouraging though, I'm on my second clutch plate at only 20,000 miles.
