Thanks again LR90XS2011, I've seen the loom with an original L/R switch for £99, seems expensive but that looks like the best option to go for in my case, I'm not too fussed about having DRL's to be honest, I'd prefer to be able to turn on some extra spot/fog lights as and when needed. Cheers again.

perhaps Brendan Leeds can help Leeds sells Nakatenenga stuff, although I ordered mine direct, the driving lights filling the holes are Ring from Halfords they do fog as well, there are round DRLs the correct size which from memory was 70mm http://nakatanenga-tours.de/shop/catalog http://nakatanenga-tours.de/shop/article_EBRSC-PB/Einbauringe http://nakatanenga-tours.de/.media/235287863105.png http://nakatanenga-tours.de/.media/123318022979.png http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic15026.html I used Ring driving lights in my bumper and Nak finishing rings (which like all Nak stuff were expensive but well made) I considered fog lamps nearer the ends of the bumper which I thought would be legal but realy wanted more light for country lanes not for fog. I drilled all the holes in the bumper myself except the 4 big ones but only because my piller drill was too small I brought a cutter 2mm bigger than Nak recommends and slipped the local engineering firm £20 to drill them for me. Im very happy with the asthetics. As I used the standard LR spot light loom I changed the 55w lamps to 35w but they still make a big difference, If I had 55w in each lamp which would defo need a bigger fuse and possible be outside the standard LR loom wire capability Im sure the Improvement would be even greater total cost was Genuine LR loom £120 with dash switch (Paul on here does them made to order much cheaper and with thicker wiring if required) Driving lamps are Ring from Halfords circa £25 for 2 (see the NAK site they use Ring as well and list DRLs for this application) Tank cutter and arbour circa £20 (starrett) there are cheaper makes Labour for cutting holes circa £10-20 or do it yourself if you have a big drill Nak rings circa £80 (check the NAK site memory poor) Plugs to fit onto lamps that match LR loom circa £5 Stainless nuts bolts and washers for mounting circa £2 to be fair the finish on the holes in the bumper was brilliant and a bit of paint on the exposed metal would have negated the use of the rings, if I was doing it again I might save a bit of cost there where I put mine gave me a number plate issue and the position shown of the photo was a temporary fix. Fog lights and DRLs need to be towards the ends of the bumper. DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS, I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy |

^^^^^ Thanks again, much appreciated.
I've spoken to Boltonbits about some bezels, they sell the ones below for £15 each and lights at £25 a pair. I've managed to get a genuine LR auxiliary lighting kit and switch from a member on here. I think I'll get a pair of spots and a pair of fogs, wire the spots to come on with main beam and the fogs to come on with the aux switch. I guess it depends how you want the wiring etc, I think I'll opt for fogs wired to an O/E switch mounted on the dash for the fogs and the spots to come on with the main beam, probably not the cheapest way to add bumper lights but I'd like to do it properly, there are probably other ways of doing it but this is what I've found so far .....

Lambley,
Good find. Those lights are just what I have been looking for. I went straight to the boltonbits eBay store after reading your post but I can't find them. Do you have a part number or anything please ? I've been looking at mounting lights in my bumper for a while. Posts on various forums have referred to needing heavy duty pillar drills to cut the holes, others have referred to just using a tank saw with an electric hand drill, a cutting disc on an angle grinder or even a jigsaw. Can anyone whose done this shed some light on how difficult the cuts are please. Thanks, G |

Gazngoz - my eyelids are stuck together this morming and my brains not in gear yet but - I'd call Boltonbits and ask to speak to Joe (female), she gave me the prices etc when I called, I didn't get a manufacturer but she told me they're the lights they use in their own bumpers.
As for the holes, I've not got that far myself yet, still deliberating, but I was going to just get a 76mm bi-metal hole saw and drill it slowly, but I might end up doing this instead.... Suggested by 'wild card 90' With hells ff75's mounted under the bumper....saves drilling etc.... Thanks mate. I was planning to contact boltonbits but new year and the weekend were getting in the way and I was / am impatient
Those hella look good but my preference would be to go in the bumper rather than under. I know hella used to do some nice flush mount oval lights but they must be discontinued as I can't find any online. Thanks for reply and happy new year G |

Having seen it real life, agree it is all stunning what you did there, especially the 90mm aux high beam LED conversion which seems one of a kind. But,.... the ""fogs""? Mmmmhhhh, not sure they would pass the MOT here under that denomination. Eric You never actually own a Defender.
