Bad experince using MyHermes
Just wanted to share that after using their service a fair amount over this year I have suddenly fallen foul of their bad customer service when they LOST 2 of my parcels from different people on almost the same day. Not normally a thing I would be worried about as even when parcels are delayed with other carriers they have found their way to me. Sadly when MyHermes lose things they stay lost and they wont provide any real data on status. actually they wont even talk to me (TW*TS) even though the parcels were due 4 November and as such have had to leave it in the hands of the sellers

Sure this is an isolated issue but wanted to share incase you have plans to use them for shipping goods. My advice is think twice Whistle

Cheers

Steve

I've had very mixed experience with Hermes delivery, some things arrive quickly while others either turn up late or not at all. Pay peanuts and get monkies as they say. Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades.

Over the last 4-5 years we have sent approx 2000 parcels with MyHermes, in that time they have lost 5 parcels, not a bad percentage, but the customer service has varied from terrible to excellent when dealing with them.
I'd have thought all the parcel delivery services would have a similar performance, probably just unlucky in this case.

Our local driver is good as gold and seems to get all deliveries to us (eventually). However, after the 3rd small parcel I sent using them went missing with absolutely no way of getting compensation out of them I have given up using them myself to send stuff. I pay a pound or 2 more to go with UPS via "interparcel.com" who are 100% reliable.

UPS 100% reliable?
I can assure you they're not! We've had missed collections and deliveries here (usually when the main driver is on holiday and they've got a relief in) and parcels we've sent mysteriously vanishing in to the ether. When we send expensive stuff out we always make it clear that whilst we use UPS and they're usually pretty good, things do go wrong and insurance is available if the customer wants to pay for it.

It does pain me slightly having to pay for compensation for when they have failed to do the job they're paid to do, but that's how it is.

UPS via interparcel for me too, it's worth it.

Always best to use signed for too or you'll get 'crims' out there receiving goods and saying they didn't for a refund..

Our Local Hermes women is a moron.. I saw her walk up my driveway, pretty much throw the parcel under the hedge and walk off again, no card and raining outside..

I complained at Amazon and recieved another parcel a few days later via another service..

I wouldnt use them, but Amazon seem to have a big contract My 1986 90 is currently on a full rebuild, with new chassis, Paint etc.. Very much a hybrid, TD5 Chassis, tub & bulkhead with a 200TDI and LT77 GB Painted in Stornoway Grey Smile 2 years off the road, but getting close to completion now

Myhermes are a nightmare. They are telling me that they have delivered a parcel that they are yet to collect, and it must be about 3 weeks since they were to be collected.

I've sent and received dozens of parcels using My Hermes and had nothing but good experiences. Our local driver has been with them for years and is a top bloke.

Had a FedEx parcel today, next day perfect service.

Hermes can be hit and miss and incredibly slow.

I've had a Hermes item supposed to be delivered next day delivered a week later along with another parcel of the same item after I contacted the seller that it was taking so long. Rolling Eyes

Its a bit ironic that this subject has come up, I have just got off the phone with a company in Blackpool who I ordered some items from and should have been delivered on the 6th of this month and have yet to arrive. They have told me that they sent them by Hermes and has been with the local courier since the 4th of this month which probably means that it is in the boot of someone's car. Don't make old people mad.

I should say the local agents who deliver on behalf of MyHermes have been great but I think this problem is back at their depot. Is it a coincidence that another poor person's parcel is missing from around the same date.

MyHermes claimed to have delivered a package for one of my staff to our office on Saturday this despite the office / yard being closed that day. They state they left the package in a safe place, CCTV footage proves they never even came near our premises.

Currently waiting to hear a response to the fact we have CCTV evidence.
