Delonghi Magnifica bean to cup every time, with a decent bean it's a different league to the pod variety. Have used several pod machines in the past, they are ok if you fill your cup with milk and sugar, most coffee will taste the same, if you are a black coffee caffeine junkie it has to be bean to cup. Trying different beans from around the world, different roasts, finding the one that best with the water from your tap, can be fun.

Andrew James Premium Coffee Maker with integrated grinder. Nearly a year old and has been 1st class so far. Good value as well at about £80. We mix our own beans to get a cup that works for our taste.

Another vote for delnghi bean to cup. I have had a nespresso but I like being able to ring the changes with different beans and get fair trade etc.

I got two of them ![]() But too time consuming & slow in the morning, plus I forget to clean them till I want it the next day. (yuk) Hence the interest in the Nespresso type systems My confidence has been writing cheques that my abilities can't cash for years. |

Not just save yourself the ££ and use the machine in the showroom at work? Had a few decent espressos while I have been waiting

![]() Yeah Jo, but I get withdrawal symptoms on my day off you know ![]() Plus the gaffer only doesn't mind us having q coffee from the machine when we are with clients, probably why I always look wired to the moon and speak to the most customers ![]() ![]() G My confidence has been writing cheques that my abilities can't cash for years. |

When we built our house 2007 years ago, we installed a Miele, plumbed in so no need to add water.
http://www.miele.co.uk/domestic/built-in-coffee-machines-1760.htm Very happy with it, and when we move out in 2013, the counter read just over 13,000 cups. Not one issue with maintenance, every cup was perfect. (sounds scary, but it's 6 cups a day for a household). |

Quickmill espresso machine and grinder for me. Had a detour to Nespresso for a few years because of laziness.
In the end, it just isn't what I need in the morning! Nothing beats carefully selected 'fresh' beans out of a good espresso machine. I happily waste another 30-35 seconds of my life per cup to fix myself a perfect espresso. 😎 |

Krupps bean to cup here.
However, as mentioned, the coffee bean is also a key decision. Preferences? I change often. Latest is three sixty degrees Italian expresso. Other favourites? |
