it is a simple job to change, and takes about 10 minutes to fit the new valve. Don't forget the all-important last step, however, "Using the Land Rover approved diagnostic system carry out the pump learn procedure found in the set-up and configuration section."
You must carry out a pump "relearn" cycle using a diagnostic tool to recalibrate the pump, and this muct be done with a hot engine. |

I think I must be thinking of a different valve blackwolf, as the one I'm talking about is behind the fuel lines and the inlet pipe and no way can I get my hand in there to change it.
And now the independent I was going to get to change the thing (a 1 hour job he reckons) isn't returning calls or answering emails..... back to the stealer it is then. Hopefully (some hopes) this will be the very last time I ever go into a LR dealership for anything. AlanH. |

It's easy to change the VCV, but does take some fiddly tool work to be able to get access to it. I recall have to use UJ's and sticky tape to get to the back bolt. But it can be done.
