I just love those diagrams showing how to do it but which never show all the stuff in the mechanics way. This is the next thing I'm changing in an effort to get it running better and then...... the damn aircon has given up the ghost again!
There's a leak somewhere I'm sure but certain it's not the compressor as I had a replacement fitted not 3 months ago.
The Cooks old Camry has never had all the work done on it that this heap of crap has, in 24 years of ownership!
Older bro in Switzerland is going back to Lexus after a couple of years of Freelander 2 ownership, younger bro in Sydney is going to Bentley as he's horrified that his RRS Autobiography can be so troublesome and chuck out so much filth from the 3ltr diesel!
So would I if I had his money. Very Happy
After 4 Landies it's goodbye.... why oh why did it take me so long to come to my senses?
AlanH.

PS. Older bro reckons the 15 top of the range RRs him and his cook had could find their own way back to the dealers they were returned so many times. The Lexus went back only for servicing in 7 years....

it is a simple job to change, and takes about 10 minutes to fit the new valve. Don't forget the all-important last step, however, "Using the Land Rover approved diagnostic system carry out the pump learn procedure found in the set-up and configuration section."

You must carry out a pump "relearn" cycle using a diagnostic tool to recalibrate the pump, and this muct be done with a hot engine.

I think I must be thinking of a different valve blackwolf, as the one I'm talking about is behind the fuel lines and the inlet pipe and no way can I get my hand in there to change it.
And now the independent I was going to get to change the thing (a 1 hour job he reckons) isn't returning calls or answering emails..... back to the stealer it is then. Sad
Hopefully (some hopes) this will be the very last time I ever go into a LR dealership for anything.
AlanH.

It's easy to change the VCV, but does take some fiddly tool work to be able to get access to it. I recall have to use UJ's and sticky tape to get to the back bolt. But it can be done.
