08 Puma Stereo Wiring Query
Hi all, no doubt this has been asked a 1000 times but I cant seem to find a thread that answers my dilemma. I removed the bog standard LR stereo and have replaced it with an Alpine CD133BT. The trouble I now have is that the Alpine isn't storing the radio stations so when I come back and turn on the ignition they are all back to the default settings. The threads I have managed to find mentioned a yellow and red wire swop but I'm not 100% on what that means. I would appreciate any assistance along with any pics as I find a picture paints a thousand words and I have always been rubbish where electrics have been concerned Big Cry

Sounds like it's not got permanent power.
When ignition off, it should have a nominal power draw enough to keep the settings but not drain battery.
Sounds like it's completely off when ignition off and on when ignition on.

Are you sure the wiring hasn't been altered? Most ISO wiring will not need any changing at all.

All the same yellow is ignition and red permanent live. By the rounds of it you need to swap these over.
