300 Tdi Throttle Cable
Evening all,

Just a quick one. Changing the throttle cable on my Tdi as it's a bit goosed. The part is NTC9360 and I've ordered a non-genuine replacement for a tenner. I've noticed the genuine ones are around £50/60+.

Anyone with experience know if the genuine ones are massively better or are you just paying for an OEM stamp?

Cheers in advance!

OEM for under a tenner Thumbs Up

NTC9360 - THROTTLE CABLE 300TDI RHD DEFENDER

I used a Eurospare bonnet release on my D2, virtually identical to the one I removed and no problems. The only thing I did before fitting it was hang it up in the workshop and run some mountainbike lube down the liner for a couple of days.

Cheers for that!

I've actually already ordered a sub £10 cable. But in that link you can see the "genuine" ones are £58+VAT! I just can't figure out why!

I'm also in two minds about lube between the cable and the outer.. Yep 100% will run more freely, but also more chance of attracting crud.. Just my experience with bikes!

Anyway cheers again for the response!
