as you've said..Gods country...SOMERSET! as you may be aware we can quantify the country quite easily. North of Bristol is birmingham,north of that is grimmer!,south is the english loving cornish and the kernows who also pretend to like us swamping there sea side town when it ain't raining and finaly...the other side of salisbury plain is London....simples |

What makes me smile about the Welsh and Scots automatically hating me because they think I'm English, is the fact I've Irish blood in me and a faint line of Scottish, and spent four of my first seven years living in South Africa, returning to the UK when Spitting Image released that decking song "I've Never Met a Nice South African". English kids called me a Sud Afrikahn"!

We have wilderness, not just a postage stamp sized moor. Proper Yorkshire Puddings Beautiful scenery. More Salmon Rivers. Down to earth Foxhunts. Quiet roads. Less crime. You got Jordan, we got Cheryl Cole. A686 from Hexham to Penrith We have trees that don't fall over in a stiff breeze Red Squirrels. Rush hour Cleveland way, Pennine way, Coast to coast, Hadrians Wall way. The Lake District. Miles and Miles of Greenlanes. Kippers Surfing, premier British Cup competition, staged at Tynemouth for the last two years - the home of British champion Sam Lamiroy. Stotties. 18 blue flag beaches. The Star Inn, Netherton, Northumberland. The Likely Lads.
