If you get the correct "plipper" thing (there's various ones available from the Rover range, all look the same, but internally work on different frequencies) then it's literally a 2 minute job with a nanocom to match the new plipper to your car.
I can't remember what plipper you need now, i'm sure a google search will come up with it, or give Pete @ Bells or Ian @ IRB a shout, they'll give you the definitive answer. |

As above and have done a quick search online. The following comes up:
http://www.remotekey.co.uk/land-rover/defe...erallinone I like the thought of an 'all in one' but £93.98 is a fair whack are there any other recommendations out there from those who have purchased another key and immobiliser for their TD5? Spare Rover 'plipper' and then hope someone local has a Nanocom? Thanks. 2002 110 CSW TD5, Zambezi Silver 1995 110 CSW 300TDi - SOLD |

\i used those guys to get a regular fob for mine as it only came with one, 70 quid once you send the programmer back and get your deposit back.
Our local dealer charges 120 quid an hour so even a 30 min slot is almost the cost of a DIY job, god knows what LR charge for a fob, And yeah basically a 10 min job including reading the instructions and walking out to the car to plug in the programmer. 3 Landrovers |

Thanks. They may get an order soon!
Can a fob only be programmed by a Nanocom if you get one off EBay or is here another DIY means for those without the box? 2002 110 CSW TD5, Zambezi Silver 1995 110 CSW 300TDi - SOLD |

Ian at IRB do these, mine is faultless and seems to have improved the range a heap.
