I'm glad someone asked that - I was going to post this weekend asking about it myself...
I'm happy to see they rate it as an easy job to do as well. Does it make much of a difference? |

On the basis it would have been in LRO as they were given one to fit, are there any independent reviews?

![]() Fitted one 3 months ago, good improvement, easy fit, take time setting up the bias between 3rd and 4th to get it right -Shabs is a top guy-very helpful I do my thing and you do yours. I am not in this world to live up to your expectations, and you are not in this world to live up to mine |

Fairly straightforward fit, as said do adjustments properly.
I think it's a nifty improvement. |

I was thinking about one but I use a x eng stick lock. Not sure my lock would fit with this mod. I did speak to Shans about it but he didn't know if the lock would still fit either.

All the slick shift does is raise up the gear stick so I can't see why your lock shouldn't still fit. Ray

I am no mechanic but was an easy fit.
Once fitted you need very little movement between the gears especially 3-5 or back. Jeff Ex 1968 Series 2A Ex 90 TD5 Ex D3 Ex D4 |

Very easy to fit, I found the springs didn't need adjusting, and my bushing was pristine - 07 as expected - so 15mins job!! Pretty sure I got better price from shabs himself, but not huge compared with the difference in the shifting…! Good product- go for it!! |

Fitted one to my 90HT yesterday. A nice improvement to the shifting action but as stated take care to adjust the 3rd to 4th spring setting correctly.

I had Gen 1 and Gen 2 versions, now back to stock.
They do what they're designed to do well. But just not sure on the feel of it. People who have sloppy changes should try adjusting springs and checking bushes first. Sometimes I wonder if it's just a case of buying the slickshift is forcing them to check the bias. If you still want a shorter throw, then by all means go for it. My X-Eng gear stick lock wouldn't go on with either the Gen 1 or 2 versions. I never tried to change the adjustment on the lock though. |

I bought the slick shift Mk1 from Luke in the above post and it sorted my shift issue out as my box was notch you. I did also add some ZXL at the same time so perhaps a combination of the two.
fitting wise it's very simple and should take less than an hour to do including the bias spring adjustment. And Telshe, if you want to try mine or want a hand fitting let me know as I am in Oxfordshire as well. Good luck |
