Hi all, it has been a while since I have posted, so I hope someone will be able to help.
I have fitted a complete TD5 body and interior to my 200TDI. I have got most of the stuff working using some great articles I have found online (many through this forum) but one thing that I'm less than clear on is the alarm / central locking module (10AS) I seem to have working so far the central locking (just by moving the drivers door button) but every now and then, the horn will sound, and the led on the dash is lit all the time. I know that with the td5 ecu, the 10AS module sends a signal to the ecu to allow the engine to start (along with the relay breaking the feed from the key to start solenoid) but is this 2 way? I have the 10as fitted without the main ecu, and would like to use it to drive the remote central locking and act as an alarm /immobiliser just by using the relay to cut the start feed. I don't have any remotes from the original vehicle, but I do have one from an older vehicle if the 10as is the same for a 300tdi discovery? If not, how do I get the correct ones? And how would I programme them to the 10as without the main ecu? If anyone can throw any suggestions and ideas my way, They would be appreciated. |
