I am going, haven't been for many years and its the 25th anniversary. Even in the LR magazine press they acknowledge its been pants over the years with the non LR added rubbish.
Hopefully this year will be good. 2016 D4 HSE 1998 110 TUM HS FFR Hard Top XD WOLF 1982 Series 3 SWB Petrol |

The main reason for going Martin is to have my new Defender be worked on and stuff fitted while I go off and eat ice creams. 2016 D4 HSE

I might try and get there if my shifts can be swapped , as has been said its not as good as the old days and no more bargains to be had as much , but without the support and the footfall through these events they will end up being discontinued ,
If I go it will be to have a day out with Landrovers and Landrover people , a mooch, munch and a cheeky pint after all a bad day at a Landrover event is still better than a good day at work! |

I am attending , this used to be my only show I attended and have been almost every year since 1995,it is a good show despite all the negatives people write on here,i would not be going this year, but for 2 reasons I am ,
1; after the show I will continue south to dover ferry then start to travel to Croatia for my 2 weeks holiday 2;i first met a lad called rob here in 2005 who had no interest in landrovers but had come to the show with a girlfriend and her parents.they did not stay together but I still see both of them ,, and their love for landrovers is stronger than the love for each other,as rob is now married to someone else ,but this will be his last week in England before he heads of to cape town ,with his brother in law Charles who also did not have a interest in landrovers until he attended the peterbourgh show in 2008 ,at this show he turned up with a rs escort and was showing me clips on his phone of him doing wheeleys on some high powered motor bike at over 100mph , I first thought rsole ,but please check these guys out on facebook this looks like a trip of a lifetime plese look on face book for the below where to next Africa these two lads are now In their twenties and are the type of lads that everyone with sons wishes that our own turns out like these, or those of us with daughters,we would like to have son in laws like these lads, real good lads and I wish them all the best on their travels, which will not end in cape town but plan to do the globe in their tricked up discos,i wish them luck, please follow their trip on facebook" wheretonextafrica" |
