110 rear drawer build
Today I started the rear drawer build in the 110.

Started off with (as was originally, a length of kitchen worktop)

After a bit of work with 18mm ply

and then (as it is now)

Its a snug fit and sits on top of the rubber mat. I removed the carpet is it would make the box too high.
So next steps are:
Make the drawer
Make a lift up lid / hatch behind the seats to house a battery or two and some additional storage.
Maybe stain/waterproof the wood - thinking Teak oil?
Carpet over the top and across the wheel arches 1999 Defender TD5 110

So far I have got this far:

The next plan is to add an upright and mount a set of server rails either side so I can slide the drawer out.
in the open space I am thinking of a sliding shelf

All built with 18mm ply, The drawer is glued and screwed using decking screws.
I will take the box out when ready and glue/screw all sides together. 1999 Defender TD5 110

Thanks. Still some bits to do like;

Seal the wood
Secure the battery(ies)
Fit a handle or two
Build another slime drawer for the little gap
Add some carpet
Add the lashing eyes
Trim the edges with ally angle iron
Fit locks/hinges to the lid covering the rear compartment 1999 Defender TD5 110
