Wabco ABS ECU not communicating with Nanocom

About 10 days ago my left rear wheel backing plate snapped clean off on a rough gravel road. This led to the the ABS and TC lights illuminating on the dash. I was able to drive about 5km's back to the farm without issue (apart from the rattly noise). I proceeded to remove the backing plate and using my Nanocom checked for and cleared the ABS faults (low voltage left rear sensor IIRC). Upon driving off again only the ABS light was on, but every 20 metres the TC would kick in. So I stopped and pulled the fuse under the steering column, which cured that problem but caused the handbrake and ABS lights to come on.

On my return home my indie checked it out and diagnosed that the left rear ABS sensor needed to be pushed back in, which he did as well as replacing the backing plate. The 10A fuse under the steering was replaced but now we can't get neither my Nanocom nor his diagnostics to communicate with the WABCO ABS unit to clear the faults and extinguish the handbrake and ABS lights which are still on (no TC light on).

Any ideas what we are doing wrong?

The only thing you've disturbed since the last time it did communicate was the fuse under the steering column. I would get a voltmeter and start there. Perhaps a disconnection of the battery for a few minutes then a subsequent reconnect may 'soft boot' everything back into life, I am not sure but maybe worth a go?
You can also carry out a few voltage and continuity checks under the seat where the modulator and relay is to check you have the correct sensor values and voltage supplies. Do you have the diagrams? If not here's the link to them.....Good luck.

Thanks for the tips. The only one I was capable of doing was the "soft reset" which, unfortunately, didn't work.

Problem solved. When I replaced the fuse I put it into the wrong slot. Feeling a touch embarrassed
