Thanks for that, but that's what I have been working from,
I've copied the wires from the switches, but he does not say which is the ground. I have sent him a pm, but all his posts and contacts are from a few months ago, nothing recent, Is he still on here? Surely someone must have done this Many thanks 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

I have just bought an Ultragauge and want to do the install on a spare instrument cluster on my MY11 2.4l 110 using the technique as described by Mark_D. Brilliant outcome - well done!
I contacted a scrap dealer trying to buy a spare cluster to do the installation (scared of making a mess on my existing cluster!). The dealer informs me that it is paired with the ECU and I would need to buy both cluster and ECU. Is this valid? |

Do what I done, get a freelander 2 cluster, I got mine for £50.
then simply use the internal plastic parts that need to be cut about, And use your clock faces, and gauges. It's not that bad to do really. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

Sorry, I should have said that you still use your own printed circuit board,
It's only the white plastic part that's sandwiched together in the cluster that you modify. The cluster opens up in layers. First one is the clear cover, then the dials and needles, then the rest splits into 2 sections. Once you get in there it will become obvious what needs to be taken apart. I'm just having the grey dial surrounds carbon dipped, will be interesting to see what they look like? I'm using the spare ones I had, just incase I don't like them. 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |
