Rear window seals & filler strips
Right I need to clear something up 😄

My 90 county van on the rear quarter windows has the window seal filler strips on the inside, my mates 2015 defender has the filler strips on the outside which I was abit concerned about security wise. Also my county windows are externally beaded... Which is the right way? Or does it depend on which day it was built or who built it??

If you mean the little ones on the back the beads should be on the inside, but it really makes no difference for security as the windows can be removed in seconds either way. Ray

Just reviving this thread. Does anyone have any tips on reinserting the rubber 'lock strips' into the channel once the 1/4 glass has been reinstalled with new rubber? I got the new rubber in, fiddled with the glass and finally got that in. I am now wanting to insert the lock strips into the channel on the inside. It's pretty tight.

I will pick one up. A screwdriver and a bunch of cursing just wasn't working.
