Nice mode agreed!
Did you take the grill off to do that? I changed mine with the grill still on and it dropped just a bit which only I saw but annoyed me! YOLO... You Only Live Once... |

No mate, did it with the grill on - getting the original one of was the trickiest part and even that wasn't a challenge. The angle meant I could only get two of the clips released and then it just wanted to stay put!
The back one is going to be a little more work and I want to get it perfectly level or I know it will bug me whenever I look at it |

Use masking tape around the existing rear badge, several strips, until you create the shape of the existing one (presuming it's straight now of course )

That is the plan but I share your concern over the original fitment; I may have an afternoon car, decals and badges added after a visit to the pub
As for you Mr. Go Beyond, weather is good, get out there and finish your new deluxe workshop... some of us have leather needs. Stop being selfish, it is only Sunday |

Looks like you need some paint on your cross member, or is it the photo?

Can't see anything in the photos but everything is (currently) pristine.
Zagato has worked his magic and I intend to top up the key areas with ACF-50. |

You're such an enabler; come on, give me a link to your solution, so that I can spend a few more £ on the Defender

Looks very smart - it's often the little details that make the difference. That said, your whole truck looks very tasty!! At the back I recommend changing the standard decal for 3-D letters, which look a bit less cheap'n'nasty IMHO... http://www.defender2.net/forum/post450465.html#450465 |

Click image to enlarge LOVE this. Two questions... 1. Did the dealer paint your existing grille etc or did they order specific "black pack" items? If they are new parts, how much? I was going to get mine painted in Santorini as soon as I get the car. 2. Do forum members get a discount with Bowler? I think I'm going to have to go the same route - love the look. And I'd only just decided I was going to go for SVX wheels!!! Back to the Sawtooth option I think! No....powder coat the SVX ones - I think I prefer the design. And might go for the Race bumper. 1) I ordered black pack grill and light surrounds via the dealer. I have the stock grey ones set aside in case I ever want to swap back. IIRC, the cost was about £100 more than having the original ones painted and worked out to be circa £300. I'll dig out the bill tomorrow and PM you.
2) No, afaik Bowler are not a sponsor. I dealt direct and found them to be excellent to deal with. I always wanted Sawtooths and the only wheel that was a close second were the Bowler rims. My car was fitted with the Dual Finish alloys from the factory but they were my least favourite option; however, I managed to work with the dealer to swap them for a new set of OEM Sawtooths before I took delivery. |

I actually like the SVX wheels - mine will come with Boost items. I was thinking of getting a new (take-off) set of SVX's and having them powder coated matt black.
