Seat runners
Having just commented on a post about rear seat leg room increasing brackets in the maintenance section I was reminded of how antiquated the front seat runners are.

You really have to push or pull the seats into position.

I used to have a wonderful Triumph TR4A which had similar runners and you where basically fighting your own weight to move them. That could be forgiven as the car was built in the 60's.
I know the defender/ series goes back further than that but the runners really should have been updated, not exactly expensive.

RANT over.

Has anyone fitted different runners without huge modification to either the car or the original seats which will slide freely?

Thought about the RX8 seats for comfort, greater recline ability plus the improved runners but can't quite go for non matching seats.

All suggestions appreciated.
