Hi all having checked on topix (Jaguar LandRovers Diagnostics site)my 2012 90 has been actioned for a new oil pump.
I called my local dealer and yes they verified it is on the system for a new oil pump. Now what concerns me is its not a recall but what they call a oustanding campaing,so they will not send out recall letters as its not a safety issue,So if you do not get your vehicle serviced at a Land Rover dealer you will prob never know untill its too late!!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED CHEERS. |

Yes, it was an 'improvement' on the 2,2 to make the vehicle greener!

Glad I read this thread! Called the dealer and found my MY12 is due this recall. Thanks for the info!
I do find it a bit disappointing that an issue that might wreck the engine like this doesn't merit LR or the dealer letting me know. Presumably cheaper in the long run to just replace a few siezed engines than make sure every vehicle is fixed. Ah well... |
