No I am not Merchant Navy. Just about everbody else Engineering and Wheelhouse side is either Merchant Navy or ex Royal Navy. I just swapped one ID card and a set of overalls for another one, a mustercard and a boilersuit.
Being ex RAF myself I do get a fair amount of stick but as I regularly remind them...... "Your boat......It's just a floating aeroplane to me!"  If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

They're true 'yachts' and I would imagine you'd have to work quite hard to get where you want to go?
